Over the last 15 years roadsigns in the UK have slowly but surely switched from a blind rivet application to being manufactured with the Self Pierce Riveting process.

Road sign manufacturing or traffic sign manufacturing quality requirements increased in the 1990’s to the point were the reflected surface of the road signs or traffic signs had to be blemish free.

The only way to achieve this was to switch to the self-pierce route, with its flush surface finish and added strength. Self Pierce riveting was a perfect match.
